ROLE OBJECTIVE: This person will be part of a critical and growing Business Development team and will work directly with our senior management and construction teams. The Proposal Writer role will be primarily responsible for researching, interviewing, preparing, writing and submitting all necessary information required for Requests for Proposals, (RFP’s), Requests for Quotes (RFQ’s), Requests for Information (RFI’s). The Communications Coordinator Role will involve managing all media request, advertising request, coordination of interviews, website contents, internal communications such as newsletters and internal documentation.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:

On a typical day the Proposal Writer/Communications Coordinator may perform some of the following duties:
• Work with department managers to prepare, write and edit proposal responses including text, schedules and pictures
• Prepare and edit letters and packages for potential customers and/or projects
• Monitor bid sources
• Prepare and maintain project library and database
• Prepare presentations
• Track and manage media requests
• Updating websites
• Newsletter preparation
Qualifications:
• University degree or College Diploma in English or Journalism
• Excellent written communication skills
• Experience drafting copy for newsletters and websites an asset.
• Construction background an asset
• Proficient with Microsoft Word, Powerpoint, Project, Publisher and InDesign software
• Able to work in a fast-paced team environment with tight deadlines is critical
