Operations Manager, O&G E&P ~ Ventura, CA


Incumbent will be tasked with:

 

  • Responsibility for the management of several field operations supervisors and an overall organization of approximately 90+ field personnel.
  • Responsibility for all field operating activities related to on and offshore facilities.
  • Supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company policies and applicable laws.

 

More specifically incumbent will:

 

            Recommend, manage and implement development and operating plans for assigned offshore and onshore facilities.

            Possess a good understanding of gas and liquid processing (including hydrogen sulfide), rotating equipment, and various artificial lift methods.

            Be accountable for production, financial and operating results.

            Be accountable for operations safety performance and environmental compliance.

            Possess experience with emergency response and the Incident Command system.

            Ensure compliance with OSHA, NPDES, Air Emissions, Oil Spill, Waste Handling, Hazardous Materials Transportation, and other pertinent governmental regulations.

            Prepare and recommend budgets to Sr. Management.

 

Management responsibilities will also include:

 

  • The interviewing, hiring, and training of employees.
  • Planning, assigning, and directing of work.
  • Appraising employee performance.
  • Rewarding and disciplining employees.
  • Addressing complaints and resolving problems.

 

Qualified candidates will possess:

 

  • A BS degree in engineering and a minimum of 12 years of oil and gas experience. 
  • Previous personnel and administrative management experience including a preference for the supervision of field foremen and operations personnel.
  • Unsponsored right to work in the US.
