Senior Reservoir Engineer   – Established E&P Entity - Beautiful California Coast (Ventura)

 

Incumbents will enjoy a long-term and unique employment opportunities with an established oil & gas exploration and production entity, postured for continued and controlled growth.

 

Reporting to senior management, the incumbents will support the development and operation of company owned assets, maximizing the economic recovery of hydrocarbons by providing technical and economic analysis and associated activities. 

 

More specifically the incumbents will:

 

  • Assist production personnel with daily operations to optimize producing rates and cash flow.
  • Design, prepare and execute data collection programs to obtain information required to analyze well performance. 
  • In selected reservoirs, be able to use reservoir modeling to evaluate performance and determine potential for major development projects such as waterflood or infill drilling.
  • Perform economic evaluations of all potential development and exploration projects.
  • Provide technical and economic analysis of development plans as well as coordinates with development team members to ensure goals are achieved.  

 

Qualified candidates will:

 

·         Possess a Reservoir Engineering career (preferably gained from long-term employee status with an E&P entity).

·         Possess a solid understanding of multiphase fluid flow, wellbore hydraulics, reservoir characterization and economic analysis. NOTE: Prefer experience to include offshore and onshore operations, heavy oil, sour, low API, high water cut production from unconventional plays. 

·         Have designed and understand operation of gas lift and ESPs within these operating conditions.

·         Have 5+ years of relevant work experience.

·         Possess a BS or MS in Petroleum Engineering.

·         Possess unsponsored US work authorization.
