We are currently looking for an Internal Control Auditor for our client in the Markham and Finch area of Scarborough. Our client is a well known multinational organization in the print production business, looking to add to their team. This position will be a 1 year contract with possibility of extension. The shifts will be weekday day shifts, with a pay range between $26.50 and $29.50/hr.
This position will be responsible for ensuring that the assigned department is consistently meeting or exceeding internal, federal and ISO standards.
This position will be responsible for (but not limited to):
- Analyzing, documenting, testing, evaluating and recommending improvements in internal control structure
- Compiling results in clear, concise reports to ensure compliance with Canadian legislation, corporate policies, contractual agreements, GAAP standards
- Identifying areas of weakness, creating recommendations to rectify
- Ensuring %100 of employees within department meet Code of Conduct and Privacy compliance
- Preparing financial statements and reports
- Developing and maintaining cost findings
- Performing routine or ad hoc audits, as requested
- Understanding, interpreting and applying standard audit evaluation methods and procedures
- Communicating with all levels of management (presentations, reports, meetings, etc)
The following skills are required for this position:
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Access and Visio
- Excellent ability to analyze causal factors and recommend improvements taking economies and efficiencies into consideration
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbal
- Strong organizational, prioritizing and time-management skills
We are looking for candidates with the following qualifications:
- A minimum of 5 years previous auditing/internal control experience
- A minimum of a bachelors degree in finance/accounting
- Professional auditing certification (CGA or C.M.A. preferred)
