We have a current opening for a Utility Sales Representative to cover our Ontario territory. This position is being created to promote continued growth in the region. Duties and responsibilities of the position are as follows:

• promote the sale of products products at utilities, utility contractors and through focused electrical distributors
• ensure that sales goals are met and grow  market share
• Development of strong working relationships with key individuals at utilities, utility contractors and focused electrical distributors. Key individuals include engineering, linemen, purchasing, and management.
• Develop and maintain contact with end users and specifiers within the utility industry with the goal of promoting sales of our products.
• review, monitor and follow-up with customers and contacts in a timely manner to ensure that their needs are being effectively met
• participate in industry trade shows and other relevant industry functions

The successful candidate will have:

• previous track record and sales experience in the utility industry demonstrating a clear aptitude for meeting  customers needs
• a positive attitude and a top notch work ethic
• the ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• strong organization and time management skills
• effective presentation and communication skills (oral & written)
• demonstrated interpersonal skills including the ability to deal with diplomacy and tact in all situations
• computer literacy in MS office (word, excel, power point) and similar software
• a  valid driver’s license and a current driver’s abstract  to enable travel in the assigned territory including overnight travel as needed

Training and skills desirable include:

• Diploma in the Electrical field or an area supporting the requirements of the position.
• Sales experience in the utility industry
• Practical knowledge of the use and application of electrical power connectors
