Job Responsibilities and Requirements: The Senior Design Principal position is responsible to lead project-specific design efforts that result in creative solutions that are functional, visually exciting, human centered, state-of-the-art, constructible, and budget compliant. The person will also participate in business development and project pursuits, including the preparation of proposals and presentations to our clients and industry, stay abreast of technological developments, and attend technical and professional society meetings and seminars. Desired Qualifications Broad based portfolio of projects and contacts that prove innovative design talent Extensive experience with client project representatives Ability to prepare proposals including approach, cost, and schedule Capable of assuming responsibility of essential architectural design functions and responsibilities Working knowledge of the IBC Ability to resolve disputes and conflicts - internal and external Ability to develop personal, professional relationships with the team and with clients; strive to deliver high level client satisfaction Working knowledge of AutoCAD preferred, or alternatively Microstation Basic Qualifications BS/BA architectural degree from an accredited university Professional certification with NCARB Minimum 15 years architectural design experience Proven creative problem solver Ability to travel is important - global and domestic Broad experience with Sustainable design practices and systems Broad and technical knowledge of architectural systems and construction methods Ability to assist with business development Degree Required Bachelors or 4 Year Degree What you will find At CH2M HILL, the greatest challenges provide the biggest rewards.
