Wiring Assembly Lead Calgary

The successful candidate for the position will have relevant industry experience and be primarily responsible for the efficient supervision of all aspects of the panel shop to ensure timely delivery of a reliable product. This person must have a continual focus on safety, cost control and client satisfaction when performing the duties of this position, as well as have a history of producing quality work with attention to detail in order to meet and exceed client needs. Duties and Responsibilities Wires industrial panels based on reading and following the specifications outlined in the circuit drawings. Lies out and fits equipment, terminals & conduit in panels. Marks off and prepares cutouts. Locates and fits labels. Prepares, routes, ferrules and terminates wires in accordance with drawing requirements. Ensures that high quality wiring standards are consistently maintained. Fill out Bill of Materials after completing the job worked on. Performs the design and layout functions for the Control Panels control and power systems. Ensures accurate project documentation control and filing. Ensures successful product deliveries to clients. Assists with year-end inventory counts and reporting. Mentors a diverse group of staff. Defines scope of activities and assign workloads. Effectively communicates with staff to relay expectations and other general information. Works with others to resolve technical issues. Ensures compliance and adherence to processes, procedures and policy requirements. Reviews and implements new standards/procedures and systems to improve productivity. Complies with standards and procedures of the health and safety manual and Occupational Health and Safety regulations. Skills, Abilities and Educational Background High School Diploma required with relevant post secondary education preferred. 3 to 5 years electrical experience as well as Panel Fabrication knowledge. Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously, determine priorities as projects arise and ensure that all projects get completed in a safe and timely manner. Ability to build rapport and work effectively with all internal and external customers. Detail oriented, self-sufficient and organized. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong knowledge in MS Office, particularly Word, Outlook and Excel. A team oriented work approach with the ability to work independently. Excellent self-motivation and organizational skills with the ability to work with remote management. Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
