Job Responsibilities and Requirements: Provide professional, quality Medical care to patients and quality support to Medical Staff in Outpatient services while functioning within the scope of practice for a Certified Medical Assistant. Must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to patients of all age groups. Escorts patients to appropriate exam room and documents history in accordance with established Outpatient procedures. Performs efficient hand off communication to provider. Provides telephone data collection as requested under the direction of an RN or provider. Completes patient history forms as required. Complies with Safety and Infection Control policies to ensure a safe work environment and compliance with OSHA standards. Prepares and distributes patient education materials as needed. Processes prescription refill requests. Processes patient referrals as indicated per site. Maintains confidentiality in all aspects of the job. Performs other related duties as assigned. Successful completion of accredited Medical Assistant program and current certification. Current Basic Life Support certification. Experience: 2+ years experience required. Special Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Good Communication skills;Ability to work as a team member and independently; Good time Management and organizational skills.
