Our client, a not-for-profit organization located in Hamilton, Ontario and networked across North America, committed to building the province’s innovation community and helping entrepreneurs bring their new and innovative ideas to marketplace is seeking an organized and savvy Coordinator to join their team in the Collaboration Centre.
Potentially morphing into a full time position, this opportunity will be of interest to those who want to make a real difference in the Hamilton innovation community and possess an unflappable competence in project management and scheduling.

Here is What You Will Be Doing:
 
  • Within four months of hire, establish from scratch a vibrant interaction centre where budding entrepreneurs and innovative startup companies can interact among themselves and with established “partner” organizations (i.e. professional services and academic institutions)

  • Meet with appropriate staff at a company where a similar collaboration centre has been established and garner all that will be helpful in establishing the iF Co-Creation Centre.

  • Assess the tools (Salesforce.com and Google Calendars) available to support your role, research additional tools for top performance and recommend additional requirements, if any.

  • Within two weeks of hire develop a detailed project timeline and present to the Executive Director for approval.

  • Develop and implement a business and logistics plan including:

  • funding
  • space utilization and rental
  • client outreach and communication
  • partner organization participation (5-7)
  • scheduling
  • social media.

  • Manage the day to day operations of the centre facilitating 20 to 25 interactions among clients and partner organizations per day.

  • Liaise with innovators, partner organizations, academic and research institutions to promote the purpose of the iF Co-Creation Centre.

  • Towering competence in scheduling and multi-calendar management.

  • Interpersonal and relationship-building prowess.

  • Project management accomplishments.

  • Social media savvy.

  • Flawless writing skills.

  • Competence in MS Office Suite

  • Competence in using an enterprise Customer Relationship Management (“CRM”).
