We are a multi-facility company. The Brandon plant is a large, complex manufacturing facility and fills a strategic role in the corporate supply strategy. The facility has the capability to manufacture a diverse slate of products to capture opportunities is fluctuating markets. The right candidate will have the opportunity to drive and capture operations improvements which will have a significant impact on the business.
General Responsibilities:
- Member of the plant’s leadership team
- Assist in the development of safety, environmental and availability goals and executing plans necessary to meet these goals.
- Provide direction and guidance to 4 Supervisors; supervising the Electrical, Instrumentation, Mechanical, and Warehousing employees. Approximate total headcount: 45.
- Lead the development of Maintenance team and the individual team members in order to improve the contribution of the team to the business goals including:
- Team well-being through sound people management
- Optimization of resources and structure to meet plant needs
- Filling all positions with qualified personnel
- Coaching and assessment of training needs, and development and execution of training plans
- Providing daily/swift feedback, and preparation of annual performance appraisals and base pay reviews of team members
- Accountable for proper execution of our Predictive and preventive maintenance program: QA of jobs executed according to PM/Maintenance procedures and Ensure proper use of maintenance procedures
- People effectiveness: Maximize the value your crew creates by increasing the output. Efficient scheduling, sound material/parts management etc.
- Maintaining equipment supporting the plant’s safety, compliance and availability requirements
Qualifications & Experience:
- Maintenance and reliability management experience at a chemical process plant, petro-chemical plant/refinery or manufacturing.
- Strong commitment to Safety, Environmental Compliance, and Plant Reliability
- Proven leadership skills, organizational skills, high work standards, strong technical abilities, strong business skills and personal accountability
- Sound economic thinking skills.
- HS Diploma or GED
- Management experience in a PSM covered facility
- Engineering or Technical degree from an accredited institution Technical knowledge in the inspection and repair of processing equipment
- Working knowledge of applicable regulatory and industry codes and standards are an asset
- Ability to support the needs of a manufacturing facility that operates 24 hours per day, 7 days a week.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, high attention to detail, time management, multi-tasking ability, interpersonal skills, and computer skills are required
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to access ladders and stairs at heights in excess of 100 feet.
- Must be available for and willing to do weekend work and travel (up to 20%), including air travel
- Must be willing and able to work in outdoor work environments of all types of weather.
- Must be available to travel to other locations if the need arises
- Must be able to work in a manufacturing plant environment and capable of following all plant policies and procedures as related to the position.plant/refinery or manufacturing.
