Training Manager
Job Description:
- Manage a small team of trainers for both new and experienced drivers.
- Run School bus driver improvement courses
- Perform driver evaluations for safety purposes and also for pre-employment
- Coordinate and/or teach all courses for which you are qualified. These would include; PDIC (Professional Driver Improvement Course), First Aid, Air Brake refreshers for existing employees who operate vehicles with air-brakes, various defensive driving courses for which drivers need and sometimes request refreshers Hazardous material handling for shop personnel
- Orientating new employees on company policies, rules, and procedures
- Maintain up to date records of training delivered in personnel files
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure new training needs are identified and the applicable classes are developed and made available
- Produce reports as required
- May have to travel to locations in Alberta
Knowledge/Skills:
- Valid Class 1 or 2 Alberta Driver’s license
- Knowledge of both School Buses and Motor Coaches an asset
- Knowledge of Log books, pre-trips and legislation
- Excellent people and communication skills
- Ability to work unsupervised or with a team
