Diesel Technician /Heavy Duty Mechanics
Position Summary:
Our skilled team of 3,500 mechanics, 1,200 service assistants and 400 supervisors uses diagnostic and troubleshooting skills to keep our customers' heavy-duty tractors, trucks, and trailers in top condition and on the road. Whether you're fixing an electrical glitch in an ignition system or changing a tire, you play a key role in keeping our customers' businesses running. You'll also have the chance to be recognized for your knowledge and skills through our National Tech Challenge, an annual wide competition.
We are the first and only truck leasing, rental and logistics provider to earn National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certification for its continuing education program for fleet mechanics. Typically, you'll receive at least 40 hours of state-of-the-art training each year on a variety of OEM equipment.

Qualifications:
- Prior diesel mechanic practical experience, or combination of education and experience, required
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Vocational/Technical School certification preferred
- Working knowledge in the use of hand tools required
- Basic computer skills preferred, we use computers to complete service and part orders
- Willingness to work in non-climate controlled environments is required
- Willingness to work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete employment application, submit to a reference verification (to include past employment and education history) are required. Travel requirements to neighbouring facilities for training may be required.
