Job Responsibilities and Requirements: Summary: Based out of our Corporate Headquarters here in Irvine, the Accounting Operations Supervisor is responsible for handling the operational accounting functions of the business while managing a small team of 2-3 direct reports. The ideal candidate is someone with the keen insight to understand operations within the auto finance sector and how the accounting function directly impacts and ties into the day to day workings of the company and the bottom line. Must be technology savvy with the ability to think outside of the box in order to be successful in this Accounting Supervisor opportunity ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Oversee operational accounting from A/R to loan processing Problem-solver that leverages details and team to create solutions Multi-task various projects in fast-pace environment Enforce Company policies and procedures Leverage technology to manage day-to-day operations and deliver solutions Reviews and approves work of direct reports Train team members on procedures, systems, and other responsibilities Work directly with other departments on inter-related processes Improve processes to make them more efficient and effective REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Ability to work in an accurate, detail-oriented, and highly productive manner. Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including formulas and pivot tables. Strong verbal/written communication skills and organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and react quickly in a fast paced environment. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to derive key insights Bachelors Degree is highly preferred but not required. Results-oriented with an ability to initiate and lead projects to completion Focus on continuous process improvement Ability to function effectively in a team environment and gain the cooperation of individuals across the organization Ability to analyze data and prepare meaningful reports for the management team Strong foundation in the use of information systems and ability to learn/manipulate systems quickly Experience with the following technology is HIGHLY preferred for this opportunity but not required: SQL Server, Shaw Retail, Megasys, MAS 500 and FRX WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT FROM US We provide a competitive base salary and bonus plan as well as a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental vision and a 401(k) investment plan.
