Job Responsibilities and Requirements: Instruction Ongoing research of best practices in literacy, math, and positive youth development. Plan and collaborate with site coordinators using the STEM and Positive Youth Development Model. Serve as an instructional coach/mentor Model effective reading and mathematical instruction for tutors Provide tutors supportive feedback regarding their implementation of instruction. Assessment Assist with reading and math assessments Ensure data is entered into the appropriate data management system Analyze assessment results and focus on data to impact instruction Professional Development Provide staff development for academic tutors/site coordinators Participate in meetings: NAZA, Martha O'Bryan Center, Promise Neighborhood, Tennessee Department of Education Leadership Provide information and training opportunities for parents Attend IEP meetings with families to serve as liaison between parents and school. Evaluate OST: Out of School Time programs on daily basis and provide professional development to support staff. Manage various grants: NAZA, 21 st CCLC Seek and manage enrichment partners Background Requirements 1. Bachelors degree and three (3) years related experience in Special Education, Elementary Education (K-8), or Secondary Education; Master s degree preferred. 2. Knowledge of best practices in literacy and math instruction 3. Exceptional interpersonal and communications skills 4. Strong organization and planning skills 5. Proficiency with computers, including Microsoft Office and internet research.
