OVERLAY OPERATOR
 
LOCATION:                    Sherwood Park, AB
POSITION STATUS:         Permanent, Full Time
 
Primary Role:
 
The Overlay Operator will operate a chromium carbide pipe overlay automatic welding machine and all necessary tasks associated with operation. The candidate will also perform other general duties within a fabrication facility located in Sherwood Park.

 Main Responsibilities:  
 

• Operation of Chromium Carbide Pipe Overlay Machine

• Spot Welding Repair
• Overlay Machine Maintenance
• Assist skilled trade’s people and perform a wide range of tasks.
• Cleaning and preparation of operating facility.
• Loading, unloading, identifying, and distributing materials and equipment.
• Snow removal
• Cleaning of vehicles and/or equipment
• Various other tasks

 
 
Qualifications:

• Willingness to learn
• Strong organizational skills.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work quickly and efficiently.
• Mechanical aptitude.
• Strong team player
• Safety conscious attitude
• Previous construction experience
• Spend a lot of time on their feet, kneeling and crouching
• Demonstrate good coordination and manual dexterity
• Assist other crafts and employees with maintenance work.

 
 
This position is based out of our shop in Sherwood Park, AB and does not offer camp or LOA. You must be able to work shift work, and eligible to work in Canada.  These positions are full time permanent with employer paid health and dental benefits.
