Job Responsibilities and Requirements: The Fine Arts Department of seeks a chair with a faculty appointment in the Art History program starting Fall 2012, subject to final budget approval The Fine Arts Department of this liberal arts university in Philadelphia offers a major in art history as well as courses in studio art and music history. Chair duties include oversight of faculty and students, curriculum and roster development, budget and facilities management, and interaction with others in the university, including university art museum staff and university administration. Qualifications: Qualifications include a Ph.D. in Art History, with a specialization in art from . The successful candidate must have a record of significant administrative and program management experience, exemplary undergraduate teaching (from introductory to advanced levels) and distinction in research.
