Position: Ops Control, Manager
Location: Burlington, ON
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work with Sr. Manager on fleet plans for Canadian operations, including linehaul and charter requirements
- Work with OPS Managers across Canada in various departments
- Ensure that all coaches are licensed for the appropriate areas, monitor fleet usage and make adjustments to ensure the maximum utilization of coaches.
- Work with Ops team in Emergency Response Centre.
- Work with PTB, Alberta Prorate, Yukon, Manitoba & Ontario Department of Transportation.
- Prorate Fleet licence for coaches and trailers, IFTA certification
- Assist with internal and external calls and customer inquiries
- Communicate with external vendors for rentals as required for all locations across Canada.
- Direct correspondence to appropriate personnel
EDUCATION:
- College business diploma or degree, or equivalent operations experience.
EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE:
- Strong sense of professionalism, tact and confidentiality
- Must be detail oriented and be able to manage multiple projects at any given time
- Excellent English language skills, including strong computer abilities
- Ability to work in an environment of constantly shifting priorities
- Ability to accurately prioritize activities to meet deadlines
- Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, BOSS
- Dispatch experience
- Must be an independent thinker and work under minimum supervision
- Works well in a team environment
