Position: Parts Manager - Full Time
Location: Markham, Ontario
PURPOSE: To co-ordinate and supervise the purchasing, receiving, supplying and shipping of parts to assigned locations.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Service the Parts Inventory Centre ensuring proper delivery dates for purchase orders.
- Ensure Corporate Purchasing Agreement is adhered to by all staff.
- Maintain inventory control and reports to region. Conduct a quarterly inventory.
- Oversee incoming stock and all paperwork for each delivery.
- Provide Regional Maintenance Manager with report on supplier performance, while maintaining Corporate Purchase Agreements.
- Secure competitive pricing and service and supervise the ordering process.
- May process accounts payables / accounts receivables, and assist in special parts procurement.
- Ensure defective and warranty parts are returned to supplier.
- Liaise with Shop Manager with respect to special requests, and needs.
- Assist in special projects as assigned.
EDUCATION: High school diploma or equivalent.
EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE:
- Solid knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems and parts requirements for vehicles.
- Good communications, supervisory, and clerical skills.
- Personal computer skills and knowledge of Web Fleet Assistance (WFA) program an asset.
- Previous supervisory experience in vehicular parts of inventory management in office / warehouse environment.
- Solid knowledge of suppliers.
- Purchasing/ buying experience is a plus.
WORKING CONDITIONS: Office/warehouse environment. May require occasional lifting of 20-50 lbs.
