Currently, their Containerboard and Packaging Division (box plant) in Mount Olive, Illinois, is in need of a talented leader and hands-on visionary who will be instrumental in moving the organization to the next level.
Environmental Health and Safety Manager
Mount Olive, IL
In this high-visibility, mid-management position, you will act as the “go-to” person while championing a range of health and safety issues, and environmental concerns. Your high degree of integrity, excellent people skills, and penchant for detail—in addition to an outstanding technical aptitude within the Health/Safety/Environmental arenas—will aid you as you develop programs, coach, mentor and motivate people at all levels, respectfully challenge processes and affect change where needed. To qualify, you should have a Bachelor’s degree in Health and Safety or a related field, and possess a minimum of five years’ progressive experience that encompasses evolvement from traditional health and safety to an environmental role within a manufacturing setting. Proven leadership abilities are a must; CSP (or demonstrated progress to achieve CSP) is highly preferred. But most of all, outstanding communications skills, both written and verbal, will be vital as you build and sell a vision of optimal health and safety practices that will empower and engage others and, ultimately, change an existing culture.
