General Warehouse, Dartmouth Branch NS

Our company is a  national supplier of tool and equipment product lines for the Canadian market.  Products include: abrasives, air tools, hand tools, material handling and out door power equipment.  We are a privately held, proudly Canadian company recognized as a leader in the wholesale distribution of tools and equipment industry.  Our head office located in Burnaby, B.C. with six branch offices strategically located in the major cities across Canada.

Responsibilities

• Load, unload and move products by hand or with basic material handling equipment
• Operate a variety of equipment to unload and load and move products
• Weigh products, wrap goods and pack and unpack products
• Process incoming requisitions which includes picking, checking and packing orders
• Inspect and verify incoming goods against invoices and other documents
• Shipment of orders
• Restock bins
• Maintain and organize inventory
• Use inventory control system to locate information, search orders or investigate discrepancies
• Clean warehouse constantly
• Other general warehouse duty as required.

Skills & Qualities

• Physically able to lift heavy shipments and products between 50 to 100 lbs
• Ability to operate industrial lift trucks, pallet jack, and forklifts
• Good communication skills (verbal and written);
• Detail oriented
• Significant use of memory
• Ability to operate a computerized inventory control system
• Team player with a positive attitude
• Strong problem solving skills
• One year of related experience and asset but not required as we will train

The hours of this position are 8:00am to 4:30pm.
