I am currently working on a proposal which requires 24 Top Secret cleared Trainers/ Instructional Designers.  I have noted the information about the position below. We are on a short turnaround deadline-Saturday!


The Training Division (TD) requires a team of instructional designers to validate existing course and/or training events learning objectives to ensure training and learning meets the needs of the client workforce. It is expected that a needs assessment and/or job task analysis will be developed and implemented. The data from which will need to be analyzed, validated, and mapped to existing learning objectives to determine whether the current courses provided to the client workforce meet the organizational needs. At the conclusion of this task, a comprehensive list of validated course learning objectives and training gaps and redundancies will be provided to the client.

 

Team members will be located at the Academy in Quantico, Virginia, and are expected to work 40 hours per week. It is expected, when appropriate, that the place of work will include Headquarters in Washington, DC.

 

Instructional Designer –  (ID) is responsible for conducting job task analyses to identify training needs at different stages of career development. They must be able to collect job data through interviews, questionnaires, surveys, job description, focus groups and other sources. IDs are responsible for developing appropriate instruments to collect job data and developing lists of the job tasks required for job performance. This includes defining job tasks in sufficient detail that learning objectives can be derived. In addition, IDs map job tasks to current training and identify gaps and/or redundancies in current training.

 

The ID shall participate in other meetings as directed by the Government by preparing presentation materials relating to program status, accomplishments, or issues. The ID shall prepare electronic and/or hardcopy materials as required. These meetings may be held at a range of different levels within the government.

 

Program Technical & Analytical Support Tasks – ID personnel shall support the TD in reviewing, analyzing, and validating organizational training needs. The final deliverable will be validated learning objectives for current course as well as training gaps and redundancies for the current training curricula for the client’s work force. This support shall help the TD gauge how programs and projects are performing in regards to cost, schedule, and performance parameters. Personnel shall be expected to support meetings, draft and review documents, correspond with government employees and other contractors, and provide other related services in performance of this contract.

This includes, but is not limited to, involvement with the activities listed below:

  • Risk Assessment - ID personnel shall evaluate opportunities that could be exploited to the TD’s benefit to include internal recommendations, as well as, changes or improvements in industry common practices.
  • Milestone/Schedule Tracking - The ID shall maintain schedules as requested by the TD, as well as, monitor the status of program milestones and notify the TD of pending shortfalls.
  • Program/Project File Management - Maintain documentation for TD projects as required. The level of detail required in each file shall be directed by the TD as appropriate for the project. The ID shall administer files so that the TD can easily access needed data at all times without the assistance of Contractor personnel.
  • Administrative Support - Perform all manner of administrative functions. This includes preparing travel documents, taking notes, managing schedules, and performing other similar duties.
