Online political publication looking for a highly skilled and politically engaged editing and writing intern to join the Editorial Board of our New York City-based start-up.

Fast-growing online platform for high-quality political discussion and debate aiming to become the first mainstream news site to meaningfully engage young people in politics while bridging the left-right partisan divide. Our platform is driven by a crowd-sourced game system that is designed to promote the sharpest young thinkers and allow readers to become writers over time.


Responsibilities will include:
- Line editing, copy editing, and web-based publishing
- Developing story-ideas and following relevant political news
- Writing stories weekly
- Driving traffic to the site via partnerships

Key skills:
- Experience creating online content and blogging
- Previous copy editing experience a plus
- Passion for politics and desire to improve the political discussion
- Interest in working for an online, fast-paced startup

Time requirements: This position starts as soon as possible and is open-ended.
