Position Title: SHAREPOINT WEB DEVELOPER

POSITION SUMMARY
Job Function – Installs, configures, tests, manages, monitors, supports, and troubleshoots Local and Wide Area Networks. Inspects work performed by contractors, vendors and APS personnel to ensure work meets specifications and is compliant with quality standards.

Relationships – This position reports to the Network Technical Manager. Also works closely with others in IT Infrastructure, IT Information Services, IT Applications, APS Business Units, all APS Schools, and many external vendors and service providers.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Build, Configure, Install, Monitor and Support the Local Area Networks, including troubleshooting all IP traffic from each end-point and internal switch to the edge router for the entire school district.

Configure, Manage and Monitor network hardware, including routers, switches, gateways, concentrators, network load balancers, network caching devices, firewalls, and others, coordinating multiple vendor solutions for the entire school district; ensures Survivability and Disaster Recovery for Local and Wide Area Networks in the entire school district.

Build, Configure, Install, Monitor and Support the Wide Area Network, including all edge routing devices riding APS-owned and leased circuits for the entire school district.

Configure, Manage and Monitor Internet Service Providers for the entire school district.

Install, Configure, Test and Update Operating Systems, Firmware and related enterprise-class software and monitoring systems for all networking related systems for the entire school district.

Provides Infrastructure Support for Enterprise Applications, including meeting with Business and Application Owners to define requirements prior to project implementation.

Creates and Updates Documentation and Diagrams for the Local and Wide Area Networks and ensures Audit Compliance.

Delivers services in his/her area of expertise as called upon by IT management, in support of the mission and goals of APS.

Position Title: NETWORK ADMINISTRATOR (INFRASTRUCTURE ANALYST)
KEY JOB REQUIREMENTS
Formal Education:
Associate Degree or equivalent Required, Bachelor Degree Preferred, in an Information Technology Discipline.
Work Experience:
Minimum 3 years of experience supporting computer networks.
Impact of Actions:
Makes recommendations or decisions which usually affect the assigned department, others outside of the assigned department, and the entire school district.
Certifications/Licenses:
Networking, Telecommunications and Cisco certifications preferred.
Decision Making:
Manager or Director is available on an “as needed” basis to establish general objectives; Technical direction available from the senior (Specialist) on an “as needed” basis.
Internal Communication:
Requires regular contact within department and other departments.
External Communication:
Requires regular contact with contractors, vendors and manufacturers.
Managerial Skills:
Responsible for orienting and training others.
Technology Application:
Applies, recommends and implements advanced technology concepts to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of multiple divisions.

Position Title: NETWORK ADMINISTRATOR - (INFRASTRUCTURE ANALYST)
WORKING CONDITIONS
Knowledge of the following:
· Experience in installation or maintenance tasks, web technologies, installing and configuring networks, configuring routers and firewalls.
· Experience using specialized test equipment and analysis tools (e.g., ping trace-route, network management software, loopbacks etc.)
· Academic / practical experience in information technology hardware maintenance, with emphasis on computer and network hardware support.
· Knowledge of cabling, routers, access points, telephony, communications equipment, Ethernet cabling and network protocols (TCP/IP, UDP, EIGRP, OSPF, BGP, RIP, FR/ATM, MPLS, IPVPN, ACLs, IPX and LDAP), patch panels, fiber optic cabling and testing, troubleshooting and security procedures.
· Working knowledge of the functions and capabilities of wired and wireless network interfaces and proper configuration of router, switches, hubs and access points.
· Demonstrated ability to apply the concepts and commands required to install, configure and troubleshoot IT equipment in a multi-protocol district-wide network environment with centralized network control.
· Ability to liaison with local and field engineering team members and vendors in an effort to maintain immediate response to critical requirements resulting from analysis of current specification data on assigned systems.
Skills in the following:
· Monitor the reach-ability of all connections within the network adhering to circuit restoration priorities and initiate troubleshooting to restore full network capability.
· Trend analysis of system load, usage and response
· Perform diagnostic analysis of the network system, identify possible faulty devices, troubleshoot faulty modules, troubleshoot network problems and outages and prepare necessary documentation detailing actions taken
· Implementing physical and logical networks.
· Perform router/switch network hardware/software upgrades.
· Provide IP Addressing Strategy - NAT, Re-Addressing.
· WAN - IP Routed Network Integration.
