This position is responsible for assisting in the establishment and maintenance of productive working relationships between contracted plans and the provider networks associated with those plans in Livingston, Seneca & Yates counties. 

 

Specifically, the Representative will: 

• Act as liaison with the providers, performing new office orientations, product training, problem resolution, maintenance and general service.
• Train providers on contractual requirements and policies and procedures.
• Document field visits, verbal or written communication, with providers timely and accurately.
• Maintain a current understanding of provider contractual agreements and member products and benefits.

 

Educational Requirements:  BA/BS required or equivalent work experience.

 

Work Experience:   2 - 4 years healthcare or managed care experience required. 

                                  Previous Provider Relations experience required.

 

Technical Skills:  Strong verbal and written communications skills, Strong computer skills, as well as the ability to multitask are required. NYS Drivers license and dependable transportation required.
