The Head of Risk (working title) is a Strategic senior position requiring strong mathematical background and experience in data mining and algorithms particularly to card-not-present transactions for large merchants/retailers.

Responsibilities will include:

Create, maintain, monitor, and report on operational risk projects/initiatives and solutions to meet current and future business needs.
Analyze various types of data including fraud trends, various fraud metrics, and other data as needed,
Work with business units to develop predictive models / decision trees, and strategies to prevent fraud.
Prepare conclusions and help make recommendations by analyzing and interpreting data summaries to improve existing processes.
Implementation and monitoring of fraud tools.

Required experience:

· 5+ years Risk Management strategy and tactical experience specific to high volumes of e-commerce/card not present transactions

· Strong database skills – data mining, data extraction, analysis and interpretation – small company in which everyone is “hands on”

· Experience with/understanding of e-commerce fraud prevention, tools and technology providers, e.g., CyberSource et al., understanding of different approaches, pros and cons that can be worked into this model

· Top-notch communication skills – ambitious, team oriented, driven to create a valuable company, tactical as well as strategic, leadership qualities, presentation skills, comfortable in front of customers.
